- Standard Tapered Posts (SAE): These are the traditional thick lead posts used for your primary engine starting cables.
- Threaded Studs: Integrated alongside the posts are a 3/8" positive stud and a 5/16" negative stud.
This design allows you to keep your heavy-duty engine cables on the main posts while neatly connecting auxiliary accessories such as winches, lighting circuits, or fish finders directly to the threaded studs using ring terminals. This creates a cleaner, more secure connection and eliminates "cluttered" wiring on a single terminal.
Keep batteries charged - All lead acid batteries self-discharge when not in frequent use. This especially so with Leisure batteries as many are left connected to a caravan or motor home over the winter period. It is vital that the battery goes into storage in a fully charged state, and is regularly monitored to ensure the battery voltage does not fall below 12.5 volts. This ensures that the battery remains healthy and is fresh to be used at the beginning of the next 'season'.
