As a leading distributor of batteries throughout the UK, Battery Charged is very aware of the Environmental responsibility that we face.

We abide by all of the following tenets

  • All batteries collected are recycled
  • No batteries collected for recycling are sold for re-use
  • All legal documentation is current and up to date

Since 2014, all battery producers must follow UK law with regard to the supply of batteries onto the UK market. The link below explains the responsibilities that we, as producers, must abide by.

To this end, we are quite willing to accept your old battery for the proper and correct environmental disposal. In order for you to do this, you will need to take your old battery to any of Shield’s Battery Centres, where the staff will happily take the battery off your hands.

Please note that we cannot accept NiCad or Lithium batteries for Environmental disposal.
